I was reminded of another reason I like Dish Satellite TV better than Cable on a recent vacation. I was at a hotel looking through the channel guide and I realized that I had forgotten hoe special the interactive menu is with Dish Network and DirecTV.

On cable I couldn't hop from channel 7 up to 105 in a split second. I had to wait for the guide to slowly crawl its way down to channel 105. Not so with the the interactive Dish Network TV Guide.

Once there I couldn't pull up a full description of the program. Most of the time I couldn't even see a complete program name! How pathetic!

All you can see here is for part of 1 word to 4 words - hardly enough give you any kind of description.

Look at channel 34. You don't even get ONE word of the title!

I also couldn't group all of the movies together or sports programming, news, etc.

	The movies are a little better since there's more room but nothing is better than what DISH has, shown below!
	You can scroll through the listings while watching your favorite show! The program is in the top right corner - currently partially covered because I pulled up the full description.
	This shows start and end times, channel, ratings (Number of stars and if R, PG, G etc.) You also get the year, major actors/actresses and a complete description. It also shows if it's closed captioned and in Stereo.

We aren't limited to an hour and a half for the menu. With DISH you can look ahead a day or more at a time!

I also couldn't pull up a list of my favorite channels like I could with the Dish Network TV Guide online.

Using this menu we can select a theme - or type of program we want to search for on Dish Network.

You can also do a search for a name of a program.
